Having attained his MBBS from KMC Mangalore, Manipal University & MMED from MUHAS Tanzania ; Dr Hussein K Manji is an Emergency Medicine specialist practicing in the Accident & Emergency department at the Aga Khan Hospital DSM and an honorary lecturer at the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied sciences. As the current co-chairperson of the Mahdi Health Initiative core team, he has served in the MHI core team for 2 years running.
With special interests in research and pediatric emergency care and hobbies including cooking, public speaking and football; Hussein believes in consistency, persistence and teamwork in achieving his goals. He is a liberal revolutionary, a passionate chef, father to a beautiful daughter and an avid Liverpool FC fan.
His dream is to expand the field of Emergency Medicine nationally and globally and his solace lies in saving and touching lives every day.
