MHI was born with the aim to create a platform where health professionals can interact with each other to grow and develop professionally, while also creating an impact on the health outcomes of the community and the Tanzanian public.

The MHI community is made up of a majority of health professionals from Dar es Salaam but also comprises of members from other Shia Ithna-Asheri communities around Tanzania as well as internationally.
